BFA student, Faria Firoz has been selected as this year’s recipient of the prestigious Lieutenant Governor’s Medal!
Faria completed a BFA with extended minors in Graphic Design and Visual Arts and is featured in our GDD 2021 design showcase. In a letter to Faria, UFV Provost and Vice President Dr. James Mandigo states, “These medals are awarded to students in a certificate, diploma, or degree program who have made outstanding contributions in support of inclusion, democracy, or reconciliation, on or off-campus. It has been granted to recognize your exceptional efforts and achievements in the Bachelor of Fine Arts program.” Faria has demonstrated dedication and tenacity while continuing her studies through this challenging year and produced work that consistently exceeds expectations. We are very proud to have had her in our program and wish her all the very best in her next chapters! Congratulations Faria!
