Jocelyn has been interested in design from a very early age, what started with pen and paper then came to designing on digital platforms. She found out about UFV’s GDD program. After graduating from the graphic design course, she’s learned so many new skills and practices, helping her develop her skills into further knowledge. Learning and advancing through her graphic design course she discovered that she has a huge interest in packaging/ label design as well as logo making, along with capturing product photography and designing websites.

PRODUCT PHOTOGRAPHY | CAMP BEER CO.
This project is showcasing and capturing product photos for beer cans of the company Camp Beer Co Brewing. Taking the 3 main core beers and arranging them in a way that is aesthetically pleasing to the eye and works well with it’s surroundings. The surroundings and atmosphere used with the cans should embody the feeling and aesthetic that the brewery is trying to get across.
The brewery itself has a very outdoorsy and camping feeling to it. The styles of beer and their cans had unique names or feelings to them as well. To capture the photos the cans were placed in an environment or space where it felt comfortable and appropriate to capture what they may mean or stand for.
PACKAGE DESIGN | PRINT PRODUCT
This project was about creating or finding a packaging dieline and designing a new brand or finding an existing brand to go onto the dieline. Fern & Foam was invented, a soap bar brand to go along with the found packaging outline. The student chose to create a new brand and learn how to properly place everything onto the packaging dieline in an organized way although still following print production guidelines.
While designing and customizing the packaging the student was also asked to properly cut out the finished design and capture product shots that would properly show the consumer what the product is about and how it should feel.
SELF BRANDING | CREATIVELY JOCELYN
This project was to personally brand the students, by creating a logo and design. Jocelyn’s idea behind the daisy was through her favourite flower, and by adding a face, it gave it a retro cartoon character feeling which embarked a sense of happiness and joy, relating to the designer.
