Gabe is a designer guided by intuition, feeling, and multi-layered storytelling. He strives to create work that feels both honest and exciting, and does so through use of tools like design, photography, and video work, allowing him to build emotional and multidimensional projects that are felt as much as seen. He’s drawn to work that feels personal and purposeful, and that makes a genuine impact for both viewer and client. He enjoys experiencing design from other countries, cultures, and fields to gather inspiration to inform his own work to further create unique experiences for those around him.

You can cut all the flowers, but you can’t keep spring from coming is an expressive book-based journey through the burnout experience from the perspective of designers. Its content is rooted in the personal betterment of mental wellbeing and the proven benefits of artistic practice as an intervention to burnout.

The book begins with research, followed by theme-based chapters of self-fillable poetry and reflections, paired with photography to mirror the research content. It is a reflective piece to help you reconnect with your own creative energies to come back even stronger than before.

This project came about from my own analysis of peers, design culture online, and my own experience with overworking myself.
