Sidney is a curious individual, always looking for other view points on topics. She has been diagnosed with autism, but instead of letting that be an obstacle. Sidney has taken advantage of it and incorporated it into her art practice. She hopes to inspire you and have you connect to her work through her unique approach to creativity.

Mayou is an Illustration conference made for artists who may feel burned out or unmotivated to draw personal projects. A way to let go and let loose in your art and draw like a kid again, Mayou Illustration Conference in Vancouver, is centered around that ‘lost’ feeling.

Mayou is also bringing Japanese design into the conference and arts, making the conference more accessible to others. Japan offers more ideas and design principles than here in the west.

Mayou wishes to incorporate some of these ideas into the design and interaction of the conference as a whole to not only include more people, but to make a new experience for many.

The hope is, that by the end of the conference, many artists find a spark to draw anything they desire again and make art for themselves.
