No Longer Human is an experimental mini zine built around an excerpt from Osamu Dazai’s novel of the same name. Through emotion-led composition and layout, the zine uses text as a visual and feeling, letting the arrangement of the page carry the weight of the book’s vibe rather than explain it. The discomfort of No Longer Human, the feeling of something being not right beneath a composed surface.
From the type weight and size to the layout and orientation, everything is intentional, working towards creating a little unsettling experience for the audience. For these compositions, an emotion led approach was taken, each piece was guided by the feelings evoked by a chosen perfume.
