Wildly Safe
Brand Identity and Transmedia
This project is made to create a uniform, easy-to-understand system, that promotes safety with wild animals. In Mission recently a little girl was killed by a mountain lion, upon research I noticed there were no signs or warnings of mountain lions in the area. This sparked my interest in my work to make clear and easy information on safety when out in wild animal territory, and how to keep yourself and the animals safe. I was able to convey this information through multiple mediums, I made a print piece, a digital animation, and an experimental piece, that could one day be used in real life.
Deconstructing the Magicness of Design
Experiential Design
This Project is made to shed light on using design elements to make products feel magical. I showcased this using the “Nike Air Monarch IVs”, universally known as the uncool dad shoe. Treating them like they were premium, was a fun critique of branding and its role in making certain products feel premium. I did this by making a poster with the elements and one without, that way people can see the stark difference between the 2 and see the value of design. I also made an unboxing video, and in that, I was able to talk about each of the elements in detail.
